1. Varieties of spandex yarn

Spandex can be divided into two categories: spandex yarn and spandex fabric. Spandex has a wide range of linear density (44～1867 dtex), which is not available in other fibers.

Elasticity: Spandex has high elasticity, which is the biggest characteristic of spandex. The elongation rate is greater than 400%, and the highest is 800%. When the elongation rate is 500%, the resilience rate is 95% to 99%. Strength: The strength of spandex is 0.35～0.88 N/T in wet state, 0.44-0.88 N/T in dry state, which is 3-5 times that of rubber yarn. Elastic modulus: The elastic modulus of spandex is small, and the silk has good flexibility. Durability: Spandex has strong durability, several times higher than rubber yarn. Heat resistance: Generally, the fiber will not be damaged at 95～150℃. When the temperature exceeds 150cC, the fiber will become yellow, sticky and the strength will decrease.

Third, the use of spandex yarn

Spandex can be used for all fabrics that require a good elastic recovery rate, so spandex is the most ideal stretchable fiber for clothing.
