Trends in New Order (Confidence) Index of Domestic fake down polyester fiber Enterprises This Week

As of March 17, 2023, the new order (confidence) index of fake down polyester fiber enterprises was 49.33%, with a year-on-year decrease of 3.82 percentage points. From the index sample, 23.3% of downstream orders are expected to increase in the next 1-2 weeks, 50% of downstream orders are expected to remain flat in the next 1-2 weeks, and 26.7% of downstream orders are expected to decrease in the next 1-2 weeks.

At present, orders in the domestic fake down polyester fiber market are significantly differentiated, with shuttle fake down polyester fiber being better than normal polyester fiber. However, in the past two weeks, new orders for spring and summer clothing and home textile fake down polyester fiber have started to decrease on a month-on-month basis, while exports have still not improved, and the delivery time for printing and dyeing has been shortened. It is reported that at present, weaving factories mainly deliver previous old orders, and it is expected that delivery will be completed before and after the Qingming Festival. If new orders are still issued during this period and there is no improvement, then the expected pressure of accumulated inventory will probably lead to a decline in loom and texturing operations.
